Another Niednagel Christmas
January 8, 2015
Yes! The blinking Christmas tree has returned, along with all my other cheesy computer decorations!!
How are you all? Did you have a nice Christmas? If you don't celebrate, did you have a nice time enjoying the beautiful decorations and lights of those people who do? :-) It was a wonderful month for us, not because it was fuzzy and frivolous and devoid of troubles, but because we were able to stop and refocus and celebrate the Savior's birth in the midst of it all.
And with that, I'll get on with the pictures. Hope you get that warm and cozy and snuggly feeling inside as you scroll down! Yeah!
"But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys."

And here we go ...

Christmas time means craft time and giving your 5 year old a scalding hot glue gun!
You have to admit it's pretty creative. We had to be even more creative afterwards getting it unstuck from the wood floor.
It's a little munchkin bottom goober's birthday!
Another rowdy Niednagel get-together.
It's not Christmas without watching "A Muppet Christmas Carol."!
More crafts! More glue on the hands! (look at Jadrian)
Hey, Bechard boys! lol, this picture doesn't need captioning. You can tell Luke (left) just said something about Hank's golf swing. I'm sure Hank had a great comeback of some sort. Fun having you guys!
The wife is decorating again, which means more vacuuming for the husband.
Now ... that ... is Christmasy. I can't tell you how good those chocolate peppermint rolls were. I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you.

You've got to be kidding me. Little adorable penguins for human consumption.
If you don't have that Christmas feeling yet then you're a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner.
Flattering picture of William.
"God bless us, everyone."
Singing Silent Night.
Philip contemplates becoming a Christmas arson.
The instruments are brought out. Looks like a scene from Little Women.
Thank you, Dischers!
"The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16
Time for "The Nutcracker" in Springfield!
All the ladies and some of the kids attended the play. Toy soldiers give me the creeps.
Let's touch everything and stress people out!
Da da da du du du ... du du du ... du du du ... du du du ... du da du da du ... (now it's in your head)
We are so blessed by Marian's joyful countenance.
Time for a Christmas feast at church!
Once again Rachel Davis lead the children's choir, and did an excellent job at that. Thank you!
Katie Bechard had a tractor accident last month. Praise the Lord she's slowly on the mend. You're a true warrior!
Chatting with Mason. I like to hold my glass just right so I look cool.
It wasn't too bad! William and Philip weren't a total disaster! (watch the blog video)
A little more refined.
A beautiful solo by Faith Cook.
The three Williams. They clearly have more in common than just their names.
Hi Rebekah and kids! You may recall last year Rebekah came down for the night to drop Marscel off to spend Christmas with us.
It's De Ja Vu! Let's go out for some Panda Express and a movie!
The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies ... Michael Jackson style! (or is that John Travolta?)
I keep encouraging him to become a used car salesman.

Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Someone spiked Jade's cider.
You can dress a child nicely, comb their hair perfectly, but in the end they're still just a goober.
Back home that night, talking with each other amidst the beautiful glow of the tree. My childhood couldn't be more vivid.
Christmas morning!
Uncle Marscel holds his sugar plum niece.
And as tradition, we're at Jer and Danni's for Christmas lunch. Hi Julian! Sorry you're not very popular on the blog!
Feel the love.
Cajun chicken pasta, caesar salad, and Kevita mango drinks. I've died and woken up at Jer's house.
Will someone please remind my son he's only 5 years old? He's just not allowed to be a man yet.
Will someone please remind Marscel he needs to grow up?
He seriously looks like Justin Bieber. Horrifying.
This year, instead of writing, "To: blah blah blah ... From: blah blah blah," I just put faces on their packages.
Oh thank you! A tuscan peacock pillow cover!
Mayhem! Confusion! Chaos!
Arm warmers, or whatever the heck you call them. Why not just wear a stinking sweater?
Watching "Little Women." Hey look! There's batman on the right!
Hi Kathy! And yes, like last year, Ma brought Kathy from new England over to our place for a few days. So good having you again!
Hi Pa and Marscel! For Marian's birthday Ma and Pa got Marian a kitchen set.
They built it, and I take the credit on Facebook! I love it!
The new year is almost here and we're in St. Louis again! Yep, time to visit the Z family with all the Thomases! This year, instead of bowling, we visited a Fun Center, and it pretty much lived up to it's name!
This was cool. Glow in the dark miniature golf. Just be careful on your back swing.
Sarah takes aim. Talk about a shot in the dark.
Hey! Some air heads are playing air hockey!
Mr. Z takes aim. You'd think Micaiah was playing.
Ma and Pa take William and Jack on a virtual reality tour. Don't throw up.
Micaiah and Hannah race motorbikes.
My wife never gets the memo. You're supposed to look serious and determined when you're racing.
How bout some real racing? Meliss and I took the boys on these great go-carts! She's acting like she's winning but I had already lapped her like fifty-seven times.
Laser tag, baby! Now this was fun, probably cause I won. I like to win. I have a really bad attitude when I don't.
Back at the Z's home and we're enjoying some incredible fondue!
This picture ... kinda speaks for itself.
This picture gets funnier the more you look at it. Like my tats?
Yes, we all dressed in our PJs! Happy 2015, everyone! (and no the tattoos aren't real ... the fine penmanship of Marscel Thomas).
On the final night in St. Louis the boys took us to this really swank hotel. We watched an incredible light show that played on the cathedral ceiling. Gorgeous!
And that's it! Hope that warm and cozy feeling stays within you all January long! It's gonna be a cold one! Lord bless you all!
