Every time I see that movie I crack up. A LOT of our friends
find it funny as well. Especially your second face after
standing up. Keep it up!

Hey Jordan, I know this isn't topical to your post, but I
just wanted to let you know that I just saw Book of Being.
I'm a close friend of the Thomases. I've been following the
project on your site here for awhile (love your goof films
btw, brilliant!) and I was very impressed with the level of
what you were able to pull off. Not only that, but the kind
of creative story you were able to weave. Great job to all
of you. Keep up the good work, and God bless.

Thanks, Matt. That second face I've patented as my "snob look." Takes years to learn. I'll teach it to you sometime. ;-) Chris, thanks a lot for your kind compliments.Certainly learned a great deal in making tBoB ... things to do and things to not do. :-) Comedy shorts are slightly more fun (and less stressful) to make. It was refreshing, though, to create something with spiritual meaning (don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are many spiritual truths one can learn from the Austin Crowe interview). ;-) Anyway, keep in touch.

Hi Jordan, Jeremy clued me in that you were done with your
film and I viewed your clips. Very well done and professional, it looks like it came out of Hollywoood. My congratulations to you and all involved. In view of the song "Place in this world" which you have playing ... "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His justice, and all these things shall be added unto you" (Luke 12:31). WE HAVE HERE "NO ABIDING CITY" (From Lenten conferences given by Father Bede Jarrett, 0.P., at Our lady of Victories, Kensington, England, 1932). "We are pilgrims - travelers; we have no lasting city here; we have no home. We are urged to live, remembering that we are travelers. This will help you to explain your life to yourself. As you look at your life, perhaps it seems unsatisfactory. It has no apparent continual growth in an orderly progressive fashion. True, for life is not really a growing up, but a journey. You are a traveler rather than a growing child. You are taking a journey to life eternal ... Only on the other side will you really have a home. We belong to a great city, but the city lies over the far side of the river. So live that you remember whence you came, and whither you journey. Keep your eyes steadily fixed on the height towards which you climb. Forget the things that are behind you. Strive earnestly forward. Nothing here on earth can ever content us ... Pilgrims, travelers, strangers, that is all we be! We seek a city, whose maker and builder is God, a city that is God Himself. We shall enter within it by His mercy. God Himself shall be our home. Cannot you be grateful for the road, though it be rough? It does all a road was ever made to do. It takes you home!" From a fellow basketeer and Missourian Lee Hi Jeff in Alaska!!

I am grateful for your encouragement, Mr. Furtak. Thank you for taking the time to write and post that (because of its length, I had to shorten it a few sentences ... but I saved the entirety for my personal keeping). Yes! Pilgrims we are. This world is not our home. Gotta keep my eyes fixed above. Lord, help me to do that. Anyway, hope you're all well in Wisconsin. I love that state, at least the beautiful areas I've been to. And thanks for saying hi, Jeff! I'll tell the guys at basketball you're still alive and well. :-)

Jordan that video is hilarious. I've been keeping up with
your blog but just now realized there was also a video. I
hope you know that this is a total copyright infringement of
the exact thing I do every time you leave my house. Mine is
MUCH more dramatic though. ;-)

I still can't believe what happened to Hovind. But
regardless of whether he is right or wrong, one thing no one
can ever take away from him is that he definitely stands up
for what he believes... and where's my copy of the Book of
Being you fat lard?
